Monarch sees strong demand for scheduled flights in March 2010

Monarch Airlines has reported an 87 per cent load factor for March, an increase of 4 per cent more than last year. The improvement was driven by flights to the Canary Islands, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife carrying 86,000 passengers, a 51 per cent increase from last year. Larnaca has also proved popular with a 13 per cent increase for the same periods as 13,000 customers flew to the destination. “We are delighted to have recorded a load factor of 87 per cent during March, which demonstrates the loyalty of our customer base who chose to fly with us time and time again.”We continue to see strong demand for our mid-haul flights to the Canary Islands and Cyprus, once again proving they are a firm favourite with customers,” said Monarch Flights and Holidays Managing Director Tim Jeans.
