UK holidaymakers want unique and exploration, says YouGov survey

Two-thirds of UK holidaymakers want a ‘unique and personal’ experience they can ‘explore at their own pace’ according to YouGov research. Commissioned on behalf of VisitGuernsey, 81% of respondents said they liked to ‘potter around’ on holiday and wanted a personal touch above a mass package experience. Spending time with loved ones was a holiday priority for 80% of respondents and 64% were drawn to places that had more activities on offer. “The message consumers are giving us is that a holiday or short break is more than just a product, it’s about reconnecting with family and friends, and that is why people want a personalised experience,” said VisitGuernsey Director of Marketing and Tourism Chris Elliot.
