MSC cruises has acquired the rights to broadcast the 2010 World Cup games aboard all its cruise ships. The games will be shown in the public areas and bars, particularly the ships with sports bars. Dedicated areas will be decorated with football pennants, balloons and paper decorations in the teams’ colours and opposing fans will face numerous challenges to boost friendly rivalry. “As a fervent football supporter the least I could do was offer fellow fans the opportunity to follow the 2010 FIFA World Cup while cruising aboard our ships. From June 11 and for an entire month until July 11 our guests will be able to experience the thrill of the event and enjoy football fever,” said MSC Cruises CEO Pierfrancesco Vago.
Special cocktails representing each nation will be served at the bars and hamburgers, hot dog and crisps will be on sale to create a stadium atmosphere.
