Thetrainline.com has launched its new enhanced website that offers passengers bigger savings on train travel.The revamped site was rolled out in April to its largest business and TMC customers and features increased visibility of the cheapest available tickets.The website also features a cleaner look and feel, enhanced technology, new tools, improved usability and increased functionality.”The enhanced business site clearly highlights the cheapest ticket option and the improved layout actually makes it harder to book more expensive fares,therefore helping to drive customer savings up and their expenditure down.” said sales and distribution director at thetrainline.com, Adrian Watts.The website also has more administrator features aimed at making it easier to set up accounts and its functions to manage information has been enhanced to improve access to additional data, such as reason for travel and cost centre code. Bookings should also be quicker to carry out with pages reduced by 30% and with process and card payment details saved making subsequent purchases faster. The company has also improved visibility of fare options - including singles and returns displayed alongside each other - and a journey summary box detailing the savings made, so users can make informed decisions on purchases.The roll-out will be completed this summer.
