Travel restrictions to Thailand have been lifted following a review of the warnings against all travel to the country. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has updated its advice for Thailand as follows: “We no longer advise against all but essential travel to the whole country in view of the continued political unrest in the city. You should exercise caution, especially in the northern provinces and Pattaya”. The travel industry has experienced wide spread disruptions and travel operators have been forced to offer travel amendments for customers, re-book holidays and offer free cancellation deals.”We are delighted that the demonstrations have dissipated and Thailand is on the road to a resolution. We are pleased that the Foreign Office advice has been lifted and see this as a positive move to getting Thailand back on track as our number two most popular destination,” said Kuoni Far East Market Manager, Dagmar Marrocco.
