Airport Strategy and Marketing (ASM) has been appointed by Bratislava Airport to provide analysis into future route and destination development. Initially for a two-year contract, ASM has started with route delivery workshops and analysis of the market. Work coincides with the new terminal opening in June which is expected to bring three million pasengers per annum to the Slovakian city. It will continue to analyse markets and identify route development throughout the partnership. “By working with Bratislava Airport, we are confident that we can help the airport to further rebound from the demise of Sky Europe last year. We will be working to try and persuade carriers to develop a number of new destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the CIS,” said ASM Chief Operating Officer Tony Griffin. ASM wants numbers to the airport to boost to at least 2.2 million, which was the amount of traffic it received through Sky Europe. More than 1.5 million passengers went through the airport in 2009.
