Hilton Worldwide announced the opening of its third hotel in Sicily today, the Hilton Giardini Naxos. Formally known as the Russott Hotel, the property has been converted to a Hilton and operates as part of a franchise agreement with Russott Finance Spa. It has its own private beach overlooking the Ionian Sea and offers 296 guestrooms and suites. “Italy continues to be a very successful market for us and I hope the strength of this property combined with our global reach will bring a wealth of travellers to this beautiful island and set the standard in upscale accommodation,” said Hilton Area President of Europe Simon Vincent. Hilton Giardini Naxos has two restaurants and bars, a Klafs spa, swimming pool and 11 meetings venues. “Hilton Giardini Naxos is now a completely refurbished hotel, which we anticipate will bring significant growth in eastern Sicily, in particular the areas of Naxos and Taormina,” added Russott Finance Spa President and CEO Sebastiano Russotti. The hotel is situated on the eastern coast between the cities of Messina and Catania.
