Cosmos and Avro have become the first major operator to offer customers ticketless travel. In the initial stages this will involve charter and scheduled flights from Monarch. Cosmos and Avro appointed travel agents will receive a one-page ‘Travel Itinerary’ confirming all flight and travel arrangements, replacing tickets. “With most scheduled and low cost carriers operating on e-tickets, or ticketless, we felt the time was right to move to a ticketless environment for our package and flight only customers,” said Cosmos Sale Director Damian McDonough. “Feedback from agents has also shown that they would prefer to receive flight and holiday information in this way which they can more easily forward to our mutual customers”. It will be rolled out across other airlines in the future.
