City apartment enquiries increase

iknow-uk has seen a 55% rise in apartment searches on its 14 sites compared to last year. Throughout April 2010, searches for apartment stays with the accommodation directory in Leeds grew 163% and increased by 100% in Edinburgh. In Cardiff, apartment searches were up by 25% and in Manchester enquiries increased by 12%. “We’ve found a recent trend that Brits are swaying away from classic hotels and B&Bs and splashing out on a luxury pad of their own for their holiday,” explained iknow-uk Managing Director Marcus Simmons. “Self-catering properties are an increasingly popular base for city breaks, allowing a group to stay all together in a luxurious break away from home with the freedom to come and go as they please.”
