New attractions for SeaWorld

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment have announced two new additions to its parks for 2011. A tropical reef will be built for Discovery Cove and a secretive attraction in Busch Gardens has been hinted at. The reef will allow guests to swim amongst a variety of sea life including exotic fish, rays, eels, lionfish and sharks. Visitors will also be able to trek across a nature trail on one of the reef’s islands. Discovery Cove is already known as a secluded getaway where visitors can swim with dolphins, relax on the beaches and hand-feed exotic birds. Plans for Busch Gardens have been kept under wraps but the park has revealed that guests will “feel the spirit, feel the speed.” The all-new attraction will combine new adventures and up-close animal encounters. “Guests know that a visit to any of our parks brings them closer to the world we share,” said SeaWorlds Parks & Entertainment President and Chief Operating Officer Jim Atchison. “It’s our culture and our heritage to bring quality entertainment and thrills, support conservation efforts and offer guests a real sense of discovery and learning.”
