Hurtigruten has launched a brand new online trainingprogramme for agents across the UK, the first time it has ever offered astand-alone scheme. Designed to take online training to the next level, thisprogramme aims to expand on traditional schemes that simply develop productknowledge by helping agents identify how to grow and market their business withspecific modules on topics such as getting to know your customer, how to closethis type of sale and much more. This substantial investment in agent trainingfurther demonstrates the importance Hurtigruten places on the trade and helpingthem drive sales to grow their business.
The training encourages agents to become ‘conversational inHurtigruten’ and the programme is broken down into four courses that need to beindividually completed. Each course provides information to enable agents tolearn more about Hurtigruten, in bite-sized chunks, to enhance understandingand knowledge and eventually become ‘fluent’. As an added bonus, incentivesjust for those who ‘speak Hurtigruten’ will be added from time to time. Inaddition, it will also be hosted on the ACE website.
Each course has a quiz at the end to test agentsunderstanding and a pass rate of 81% is required to qualify for a certificate.This can be printed off and then displayed with in the agency allowingcustomers to see how knowledgeable staff are. Each course also qualifies for 5ACE points towards the ACE accreditation scheme,which recognises agentexpertise through training.
The courses, each of which is then broken down into smallermodules are: The Hurtigruten Experience; Incredible destinations; Hurtigrutenguests and Selling Hurtigruten. In addition the site has a fun area where itbreaks down phonetically town and villages to help with correct pronunciationplus there is a section on frequently asked questions.
