Emirates has placed designs on Birmingham International’s monorail system to highlight the destinations if offers from the airport. For the first six months one of the trains will feature a Chinese ceremonial dragon on its side, while another has an African safari design. After six months these will be changed to Australia and the Far East images. “Whilst many people know we fly from Birmingham to Dubai, fewer are aware of the incredible range of onward destinations that we offer,” said Emirates Vice President UK and Ireland Conrad Clifford. “With around a million travellers using the Air-Rail Link trains every year, it’s the ideal place to highlight the breadth of our global network.” Emirates serves 18 destinations in Africa, four to China, six Australasian airports and 12 cities in the Far East.
