MSC targets MICE sector

MSC Cruises has appointed destinations UNLIMITED to help the cruise line expand its MICE market. “MSC Cruises has always focused on the MICE market on an international level, with most of the MSC fleet featuring facilities specifically catering for this market,” MSC Cruises UK and Irelands Managing Director Giulio Libutti told Travel Daily. Now the company wants to highlight its 11 ships facilities for business meetings or trips. “The joy of being a privately owned company with 11 different ships on offer, gives MSC Cruises the opportunity to be flexible and create packages according to clients needs,” explained Libutti. Most of the ships feature specifically designed meeting rooms which accommodate between 26 and 190 delgaates. “MSC Cruises’ fleet also have separate lounges which would be the perfect setting for either presentations for larger groups or for face to face meetings. We also have theatres onboard ranging from 173 to 1600 seats,” added Libutti. Facilities can all be reserved free of charge and provide all the technology needed including projectors, televisions, DVD players, microphones, WiFi and telephone connections. Furthermore, the MSC Yacht Club flagships MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia have 99 luxury suites with its own lounge, bar and pool areas for a more exclusive service. Prices vary on the size of the group, itinerary, duration, ship and season and pre-paid package options are available. “We also have a dedicated team to take care of the group requirements and also a group coordinator onboard all our ships to ensure that everything runs smoothly,” added Libutti.
