Windjammer launches ‘familymoons’ and wedding offer

Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort in St Lucia has launched a series of ‘familymoon’ packages after it recognised a surge in the number of parents bringing their children along to second-marriage honeymoons. The resort has hosted 5,000 weddings in the past two decades and has seen a 60% increase in the number of wedding parties that include children and families in recent years. In response, the resort has extended its range of activities for children and teens so new families can take part in activities together. Its Youth Programme has been developed to encourage teenagers and parents to get involved with volleyball games, water skiing and banana boat rides. “Here at Windjammer we strive to give families a premier holiday experience by catering for their individual needs. We love to see families enjoying our wide range of activities together,” said Windjammer Landing General Manager Anthony Bowen. The resort also has a supervised kids club, Jacquot, from 10am-4pm and 6pm-10pm which has a Jeep safari tour, water sports and cultural activities in its programme.  The resort is also offering couples a free wedding package when they stay for a minimum of 10 nights. Under the package guests will receive a beach or garden ceremony, a Marriage License, Certificate and Registar fees, a taxi to the layers office, bouquet, button hole, tab;e arrangement, chilled sparkling wine, wedding cake, candles in their room and a breakfast. Family and friends who join them can get a 20% discount off food and accommodation.
