Harrah’s looking for UK trade partners

Harrah’s Entertainment Las Vegas has targeted the UK travel trade as a key growth area for its future partnerships. To oversee Harrah’s growth in the UK market, Harrah’s has created a new UK Sales Director role, which has been filled by Alissa Cough and is based in London. “We are actively looking for new trade partners to work with in the UK market to increase our profile and are hoping to implement a host of marketing promotions and fam trips in the next 12 months,” she revealed. “The UK is the third biggest international market for Las Vegas, after USA domestic travellers and those from Canada, so we know that the British travelling public is all set for great offers for Las Vegas hotels from their trusted travel agents”. The group has nine properties in Las Vegas: Caesar’s Palace, Planet Hollywood, Plannet Hollywood Towers, Paris, Rio, Bally’s Las Vegas, Flamingo, Harrah’s Las Vegas and Imperial Palace. New developments at the hotels include the opening of ‘Garden of the Gods’ at Caesar’s Palace, which has eight swimming pools and an 18-foot waterfall. “It’s going to be another of those ‘only in Vegas’ moments - where else can you play blackjack in a pool, by an 18-foot waterfall in the middle of a desert?” explained Cough. From 15 March Celine Dion will return to The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace for a three-year residency and Barry Manilow has just signed a two-year residency at Paris Las Vegas. For more information on working with Harrah Entertainment, Las Vegas, contact Alissa Cough at [email protected]hs-sales.com or call 0207 107 2300.
