Port of Dover has been named the UK homeport for Holland America Line (HAL) for 2011. Nine round-trips will operate from the port between May and August from the port onboard the ms Eurodam and ms Ryndam. “Following on from their increased commitment to Dover this year, we have continued to develop a superb relationship with HAL which has resulted in a fantastic cruising offer from Dover in 2011. We are thrilled that HAL has cemented its commitment to the UK by choosing Dover as its homeport in 2011,” said Port of Dover Head of Commercial and Marketing Kate O’Hara. HAL UK Managing Director Lynn Narraway said the line was responding to growing passenger numbers in the UK. The ships will journey on itineraries to the UK, Scandinavia, Norway, Baltic and Fjords.
