BA could face further strikes

British Airways could face further strike action by cabin crew after Acas revealed talks between the airline and Unite had collapsed. As the parties have not agreed to a deal, which focuses on staff perks, another strike ballot could be put to 11,000 cabin crew. If it goes ahead, strikes will occur from the first week of August. “At present there are no further meetings planned but Acas will monitor developments and our services remain available,” said Acas. Previous support for Unite has resulted in 92.5% and 81% majorities for industrial action.
