Thomas Cook announced it will be operating 17 new flight routes from 13 UK airports for summer 2011, giving travellers more flight choices. The new flight programme includes, for the first time in recent years, various flight destinations from Bournemouth and Southampton airports as well as flights from Manchester and London Gatwick to Djerba, Tunisia. “We’re constantly reviewing our flying programme so that it reflects what our customers want,” said Thomas Cook UK & Ireland Chief Executive Officer Ian Derbyshire. “We operate flights from 17 UK airports in total to more than 50 destinations worldwide, which gives holidaymakers a great deal of choice, flexibility and convenience when it comes to choosing their holiday destination and where they fly from”. In addition to these plans, the company has also introduced more routes for summer and winter 2010. Flights in the summer 2010 will operate from Belfast City to Reus, travellers will see an increase in flight choices from Edinburgh Airport to Reus and Palma and East Midlands Airport will welcome flights to Hurghada from winter 2010.
