Continental Airlines reported a 2.1% rise in consolidated load factor for the month of June to 86.9%. The airline’s mainline load factor also raised 2.1% to 87.3% and an international mainline load factor of 86.5% (up 4% year-on-year). These factors were records for the month. Continental’s on-time arrival rate was at 80.8%, while its mainline segment completion factor came in at 99.9%. Traffic and capacity also increased for the airline, as mainline traffic upped 4.6% and capacity grew 2% compared to the same period last year. Continental flew 8.4 billion consolidated revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and 9.7 billion consolidated available seat miles (ASMs). RASM increased 1% and its regional operations recorded a June load factor of 83%.
