Blue Air appoints UK sales agent to expand market

Low cost Romanian carrier Blue Air has appointed Flight Directors as a sales agent to promote the airline’s services in the UK. “Part of the plan is to open up distribution centres, as well as the call centres,” Flight Directors Managing Director Paul Argyle told Travel Daily. “This includes improved access for agents via the Blue Air website, with agency login.” Agents in the UK centres will be both English and Romanian speaking to build a better knowledge of the UK travel trade. “We are already working closely with the marketing team at London Luton Airport to increase the profile of Blue Air within the Luton catchment area,” added Argyle. Blue Air hopes the appointment will allow the airline to expand its Luton services. “Our appointment of Flight Directors is a recognition that we see the UK as an increasingly important market for us and their proven expertise in aggressively generating passenger revenue from a variety of distribution channels will allow us to continue to grow our services from London Luton,” said Blue Air CEO Sherif Ussama.
