Tucan Travel has dropped local payments in favour of single pricing. The move is in response to the operator’s survey, which revealed that 81% of clients would prefer not to pay part of their tour cost when they got to the destination. “Customers told us they would feel more comfortable paying the full tour cost up-front rather than carrying a portion in cash to the tour leader,” explained Tucan Travel UK Sales and Marketing Manager Spencer Neal. “The move to single pricing will also streamline and simplify the booking process so it will be easier for clients to compare tours and prices across our site.” Local payments have been recalculated and rolled into a single fixed price which travellers pay in advance. Admin and exchange rate charges have been included. Full details of how the changeover period will work can be found at http://www.tucantravel.com/useful-information/no-more-local-payments.
