The number of visitors to London’s attractions in the month of June has increased 6.3% year-on-year. According to the Visit London Attraction Monitor, June’s performance has followed an upward trend from May and has helped the association report a 1% growth on 2009. “The recent Attraction Monitor figures show that London remains a popular choice for holidaymakers and the strong performance of our paid-for attractions in particular shows that London’s offering continues to drive visitors to the capital,” said Visit London CEO Sally Chatterjee. Paid-for attractions saw a 40% increase in visitors and smaller attractions with a nice appeal have increased 21.6%. Visit London has said the later spring half term and sunny weather has contributed to the higher numbers.
