Greek sailing holidays buck downhill trend

Wildwind Holidays has reported an 8% year-on-year rise bookings to Greece following the launch of its Active Adventures packages. The independent sailing specialist launched the programme to allow parents and children aged between 10 and 17 to try out sports while on holiday. The move has proved popular as large tour operators have reported poor sales. This has been affected by strike action in the country as well as civil unrest, its economic situation and the low value of the pound. “On the whole business has been surprisingly good for us here on Lefkas,” said Wildwind Holidays Managing Director Simon Morgan.
