Superbreak urges agents to book for bank holiday

Superbreak is urging travel agents to promote short UK breaks for the bank holiday weekend in August. According to the operator, 65% of bookings in the last month have been for travel within the next six weeks, demonstrating a growing demand for short last minute holidays. “Last bank holiday we booked over 14,000 customers on to UK short break and this year we expect this to figure to grow to 16,000 - an increase of 14%,” Superbreak Trade Sales Development manager Chris Cundall. “Agents have a few weeks left to capitalise on the demand that is out there and we have some excellent products available to assist. Rail travel prices often increase at peak times which will mean our rail-inclusive city break deals will offer even better value than normal.” The company cites August bank holiday as a key time for short trips and provides agents with real earning opportunities.
