Superbreak has reported a surge in airport hotel sales this summer, through both the trade and direct. The tour operator has recorded a 17% growth in overnight airport hotel stays, helped by its numerous hotel and parking packages. Bookings of these packages, which can sometimes cost less than car parking on its own, have increased more than 20% at Heathrow and Manchester. “In a purchase such as an airport hotel great value is the key factor when booking,” said Superbreak Director of Marketing Will Dunnett. “Combining these with highly flexible parking packages has proved a real winner with the budget minded consumer so far this summer.”Its biggest airport seller has been the Mystery Airport deal, where customers get cheaper rates for not knowing the identity of the hotel until booking is completed.
