Bluewater Holidays in Skipton has recorded a 700% surge in Hurtigruten sales. “We’ve been working together with Bluewater Holidays for some time to ensure all staff have received product training and many have participated in our ‘Seminars at Sea’ and online training programmes,” explained Hurtigruten UK Sales Manager Maxine Dundson. “We created strong promotions that have clearly driven sales and driven the bottom line for both parties.” The news comes as Hurtigruten reported a 30% increase in sales for its 2010/11 Northern Lights itineraries compared to last year. “To be 30% up, on the back of a very strong year last year is really positive and there is clearly demand for the product,” said Dundson. Its charter itinerary, which went on sale two months ago, is now a third full. “Agents across the UK have been working hard to drive sales and we are encouraged by the results,” added Dundson.
