Skyscanner suggests adult-only charge

Skyscanner has suggested that airlines could charge for child-free flying after its recent survey showed a quarter of travellers would opt for it. Research from the website showed that 70% of non-parent passengers ‘wanted to sit as far away as possible from children’ and 59% would like a families only section on flights. “I’m not surprised that in a previous poll we found young children were deemed to be the “most annoying” factor on flights,” said Skyscanner PR Manager Mary Porter. “When tempers are frayed, a screaming child can cause a major disturbance for fellow passengers.” However, 24% of parents disagreed with the suggestion and 45% did not want a families only section because they did not want to sit next to ‘other people’s horrors’.
