Boeing announces new delay

Boeing has announced that it now expects delivery of the fi rst 787 Dreamliner in the middle of the first quarter of 2011, signaling another delay for the longawaited aircraft. The US-based planemaker had planned to deliver the fi rst Dreamliner to launch customer, All Nippon Airways (ANA), in the fourth quarter of this year, but a lack of engines for the latest test fl ights has caused the latest delay. Boeing said last month that the cumulative impact of a series of issues, including issues related to the horizontal stabilisers, could push fi rst delivery of the 787 a few weeks into 2011. The delay in engine availability from Rolls-Royce has extended that estimate to mid-Q1 2011.commodation for up to 6 guests, from
