Nepal welcomes more UK tourists

Nepal Tourist Board has revealed a 15.5% rise in UK visitors for August. A total of 34, 415 tourists visited last month which represents 24.3% more than August 2009. The tourist board hopes the increase in figures will continue into next year’s ‘Nepal Tourism Year’, where it hopes to welcome one million international visitors to the country. In preparation for 2011, four new trekking routes will be opened to visitors.
