Long-haul travel on the up

Travelzest has seen a return to long-haul travel with adventure included. As a result, the company has highlighted experience-led trips to Borneo, Sicily, The Philippines, Morocco and Cuba as its top destinations for 2011. “Experiential travel will be important to holidaymakers in 2011,” explained Travelzest Chief Operating Officer Jack Fraser. “Travelzest has seen a move away from single-centre beach trips to multi-centre itineraries that incorporate more authentic and memorable experiences”. He added that value-for-money would continue to be a driver. “As ever, affordability will be a key factor - consumers are making the most of added value incentives, as well as improved buying power due to stronger exchange rates in long-haul destinations,” he said.
