Ski Club of Great Britain has received a makeover to offer a more interactive community and services. The rebrand includes a new logo and look, with a new website on its way next month. “In recent years with the growth of the internet, the way in which our members and non-members can access our services has expanded hugely,” explained Ski Club’s Chief Executive Caroline Stuart-Taylor at the launch today. “We want to make sure that our website shows our commitment to snowsports.” She said the club, which offers on-piste programmes, resort information and discounts, was keen to attract younger skiers and show the club in a young light, although it generally wanted to boost membership numbers. Meanwhile, Ski Club Freshtracks’ Sales and Operations Manager Katy Ellis told Travel Daily that bookings for the upcoming season were promising. However, she said it was difficult to tell if consumers were leaving bookings until last minute. “In the way that consumers waited for guaranteed sun, perhaps they are waiting for snow,” she suggested. To reach a broader market the company recently increased its number of ‘own room’ trips for single skiers by 40%. In addition, Freshtracks has launched a new off piste adventure holiday to Japan.
