Sales up for French Country Cottages

French Country Cottages has reported a 15% increase in sales compared to last year. The letting agency has also seen a 10% rise in bookings throughout September, particularly for the Pas-De-Calais, Normandy, Languedoc-Rousillon, Loire and Picardy regions. The operator believes that ‘external factors’ such as the ash cloud has helped boost its sales figures. “With an increasing amount of people choosing to holiday nearer to home and within Europe, popular areas like France are set to see the benefits,” explained French Country Cottages Managing Director Geoff Cowley. “Many holiday-goers are hoping to minimise the stress of travelling further afield, reduce their carbon footprint, and of course cut costs dramatically.”
