iknow-uk has noticed a rise in searches for UK destinations that are known for their famous food as British Food Fortnight kicks off. Topping the list is Flookburgh in Cumbria, which is home to Cartmel sticky toffee pudding and the Lakeland Willow water company. Searches for Black Isle in Scotland are also up, where travellers can visit an organic brewery. Another well-searched destination is St Ives, where holidaymakers can sample a Cornish pasty, cream tea or fudge. “There’s some fantastic local produce available around the UK so its no surprise that people are combining their holidays with a chance to go and taste it for themselves,” said iknow-uk’s Managing Director Marcus Simmons.
