Monarch has announced it will add extra flights to popular Spanish destinations through October half term. Additional flights will operate from Luton to Alicante and Tenerife on 22 and 29 October, as well as an extra flight between Manchester and Malaga on 28 October. “We have seen huge demand for flights to Spain and the Canary Islands this summer, with record breaking passenger and load factors recorded over the past few months,” explained Monarch’s Managing Director Tim Jeans on the move. “This demand has continued in to October and these additional services are in direct response to this.” Meanwhile, the airline has announced it carried a record number of passengers during September with a load factor of 93.35% (+4.71%). The top performing routes were Almeria, Malaga and Palma.
