Brazil flight searches soar

Flight searches to Brazil have increased 200% compared to the first half of this year, according to Cheapflights.co.uk. The website has attributed the growth to cheaper ground costs and the amount of deals on offer. “Given that the UK is now officially in autumn, travellers searching for sun have to look south of the equator,” said Cheapflights.co.uk Travel Expert Nadine Hallak. “While several South American destinations are still suffering the effects of a global recession, their seasonal appeal, low ground costs and the fact that long-haul travel is making a welcome return, have all helped to significantly boosted tourism.” In addition, Argentina has seen a 134% rise in searches, followed by Paraguay at 127%.
