Icelandair extends spring services

Icelandair has announced it will increase services from Manchester and Glasgow to Iceland in the spring. The airline will run a Tuesday flight between 12 April and 6 June 2011, taking the schedule to five flights a week. The triangular route is already in use from 14 September until 26 October this year. Flights depart Reykjavik at 08.00 to arrive in Manchester at 11.35. It then leaves Manchester for Glasgow at 12.25, arriving in Glasgow at 13.30 and departing at 14.20 for Reykjavik. In addition, the airline’s hotel arm, Icelandairhotels, has announced it will open a new hotel in Akureyri. It is set to open on 1 June 2011.
