Scandinavian Airlines has revealed it will expand its European network during spring 2011. The airline added new routes from Oslo-New York and Copenhagen-Shanghai today, but will launch new routes and increase frequency across a range of short-haul flights. This will result in 150 new weekly departures. “Due to significantly reduced costs and improved market conditions, there are now greater prerequisites for a profitable expansion for SAS,” said SAS Chief Commercial Officer Robin Kamark. Routes to Munich, Palma, Split and Venice are set to be launched.
