Hotel health and safety reports made available for operators

Check Safety First has announced it will make real-time hotel safety reports available to tour operators. The free reports will be provided by a new service named TourCheck and will contain up-to-date information on hotels’ standards. Reports can be submitted by hotels monthly and will include several ‘tick box’ requirements. “Just the food module of the E-Cristal audit has 250 checkpoints,” said Check Safety First’s Technical Director Jason Burnett. “Combine this with the other areas checked by our system, and we have a large amount of data on the hygiene levels of the hotels we work with. It seemed obvious to use this data in a way which would be beneficial to the entire travel industry”. The company has also been working with the Federation of Tour Operators (FTO) to ensure TourCheck provides relevant information. It will be launched in January.
