Golfbreaks.com has seen a 12 percent increase in overall bookings over its latest financial year. The golf travel company has seen the biggest growth in destinations such as Morocco, South Africa and Turkey at 48 percent, half of which visited the latter. Clubs across Scotland and Ireland also saw rises of 12 percent and 24 percent respectively. “We are finding that more golfers than ever are now taking advantage of the great deals that are currently available,” said Andrew Stanley, chief executive of Golfbreaks.com. “Although people are booking nearer to their travel dates, the late booking market has never been as buoyant as it is right now.” Meanwhile the company witnessed 36 percent growth in Europe, particularly in Portugal (44 percent), France (37 percent) and Spain (27 percent).
