UK property company Amazing Retreats has announced it will start to sell through travel agents from this month. The accommodation group, which launched earlier this year, is offering commission rates between 8-10 percent and promoted itself at WTM last week. “We recognise there is huge potential for us to sell our venues and services via leisure and business agents and TMCs,” said Stewart Moore, sales and marketing controller at Amazing Retreats. “Our commission rate highlights our commitment to the trade and we hope we can enjoy a long lasting and mutually beneficial partnership moving forward.” As a result, Amazing Retreats has appointed Steve Hamilton as business development manager and Edward Clare as business development executive. Throughout 2011 they will focus on promoting its portfolio to the corporate market. Properties include a 15th century castle in Scotland, a converted Mill in Bedfordshire and a fort in the Solent.
