Teletext Holidays pushes digital campaign ahead of switchover

Teletext Holidays is ramping up the promotion of its website and Freeview channel as it prepares for the analogue switch-off on 31 December. Activities include a Freeview box giveaway and a ‘blitz of messages’ to remind customers that it will become a digital brand. “A large chunk still don’t know the service is switching off at the end of the year so we need to get the message out about our other services,” said Mark Bloxham, marketing director at Teletext Holidays. “We want customers to stay with us as we move to being a digital-only business from 1 January. It’s vital for us to understand what they know about our other services so we know where to direct them.” The company will also undergo a rebrand in early 2011.
