The Business Travel and Meetings Show (BTMS) has signed up 150 exhibitors for the 2011 event, according to organisers. With exhibitor numbers tracking ahead of last year, organiser Centaur Travel Group is confident that the show, which takes place from 8-9 February at Earls Court, will be the biggest yet. “BTMS is tracking ahead of last year and though it’s still early days we are confident we will have a very strong show in 2011,” explained event organiser David Chapple. “From a supplier viewpoint, there is more confidence in the industry than there was this time last year. There is also more financial security. And that means companies are, once again, keen to invest in this show, which plays such a key role in raising and maintaining brand awareness among new customers.” To date, the exhibitor list features business travel brands including American Express, Air New Zealand, Barclaycard Commercial, Best Western Hotels, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Heathrow Express, Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Sabre Travel Network and Virgin Atlantic. “This is the 18th consecutive year we have been at the show and visitors to our stand will be able to see the latest advances in the world of mobile technology, traveller security and video conferencing, as well as a demonstration of how data is the key to safe, cost-effective business travel,” added Matthew Pancaldi, director of sales UK at corporate travel services company Hogg Robinson Group.
