Voyages of Discovery has appointed its first managing director. Alan Murray, former managing director of First Aviation at Monarch Airlines, has been chosen to front the cruise line, which is part of All Leisure Holidays. “The cruise arena is in a period of rapid growth and development and I am looking forward to driving the Voyages of Discovery business at what is an exciting time for the brand and All Leisure Holidays,” said Murray on his appointment. Meanwhile, All Leisure Holidays CEO Rob Bryant revealed the cruise line’s plans for 2011. “There are many developments planned for the Voyages of Discovery brand including new destinations, itineraries and not to mention Portsmouth becoming our new homeport alongside Harwich in 2011,” he said.
