Isle of Man launches official Holiday Guide 2011

More than 100,000 copies of the Isle of Man’s new 60 page guide are to be distributed to encourage a new generation of domestic holidaymakers to the island. Initiated by the Isle of Man Tourism Board, the brochures will be distributed free of charge to any potential visitor upon requests during 2011. ‘It portrays the real Isle of Man in terms of its countryside, heritage, activities and events and we look forward to visitors enjoying all our beautiful Island has to offer next year,” said Minister for Economic Development Allan Bell MHK.” Geoff Corkish, a member of the Department of Economic Development, added: “The Guide is still a very important part of our marketing campaign but it is increasingly linked to our website. We know that many of our visitors book their holiday having looked through the official Holiday Guide and it is our aim to improve it every year.” Any visitors interested in receiving a copy can request one by visiting the official Isle of Man Tourism website www.visitisleofman.com or by telephoning 01624 686801.
