Ethiopian Airlines launches online training tool

Ethiopian Airlines, one of the fastest growing airlines in Africa, has launched a brand new e-learning programme for the UK travel trade on the Online Travel Training (OTT) platform. The carrier’s website now covers everything that agents need to know to sell Ethiopian Airlines, including five training modules covering subjects such as key facts, selling, baggage, stopovers and frequent flyer programme. Agents that complete the training course by 31st January 2011 will also have the chance to win a fam trip to Africa. “These are exciting times for the airline - orders for the new aircraft have started to materialise, our network continues to expand and we are working hard towards the implementation phase of joining Star Alliance,” said Ms. Rahel Assefa, country manager for the UK and Ireland for Ethiopian Airlines. “UK travel trade is a vital part of our expansion strategy and therefore timing is right for the trade to understand the full product offering of our airline.” Ethiopian Airlines currently operates 6 times a week from London Heathrow (T3), providing connections to 38 destinations via its hub in Addis Ababa.
