Improved November BA traffic balances summer drop

British Airways carried nearly 1,000 fewer passengers from April to November this year compared to 2009, the airline’s statistics have shown. The carrier saw a particular drop in Asia Pacific traffic, which dropped 12.3 percent, although this increased 11.7 percent for the month of November. However, overall traffic was up 5.9 percent for November. A similar pattern was recorded in revenue passenger km, which dropped 5.2 percent from April to November but grew 5.1 percent last month. Meanwhile, BA’s load factor decreased by 1.2 percent to 74.7 percent for November.
