Egypt demand drives Topdeck growth

The popularity of holidays to Egypt and the Middle East has helped Topdeck record its highest sales results, the 18-39 tour operator said today. Although the company has seen growth across all of its markets, these destinations have performed the best, with sales for the 15-day Egypt Pyramids and Beaches trip up 50 percent. Lance Batty, global director of sales and strategy at Topdeck, has attributed the rise to the company’s clients. “The increased demand globally for our Egypt and Middle East product took us somewhat by surprise. It’s a direct result of travellers who’ve done Europe and want to continue travelling with us,” he explained. “Clients are increasingly booking an Egypt or Middle East trip along with their Europe trip. The region is definitely becoming more sought after by young travellers.”
