London cleans up its act, with a smile

Friendliness and cleanliness in London is on the increase, according to a new survey. Figures released by the London Sightseeing Pass, a smartcard giving tourists entry to more than 55 of the city’s top attractions, show that almost 50 percent of users of the Pass rate the cheerfulness and friendliness of London as ‘excellent’. The city also impressed tourists with its city wide scrub-up, with one in three travellers to London rating the cleanliness of the Capital as ‘excellent’ - double the amount that stated the same back in 2009. “With the world’s eyes upon the Capital in the run up to the Royal Wedding this year, and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 Olympics next year it’s great to see that Londoners are winning visitors over with a smile and spring clean,” said Amanda Truman, product marketing director, London Sightseeing Pass. “These results are a boost for the Capital’s tourist industry that will hopefully encourage more visitors to come and explore the city.”
