Consumers ‘frustrated’ at BA strike threat

British consumers are getting frustrated with travel disruption caused by strikes, according to a TripAdvisor poll. Only 18 percent of the 4,000 Brits surveyed by the website said they support Unite in the latest British Airways cabin crew ballot, which if passed, will affect travel over Easter and the royal bank holidays. “The constant fear of a strike makes travel planning very difficult and there is understandable frustration,” said Emma O’Boyle, spokesperson for TripAdvisor. “It’s been a tough 18 months for air travellers and the public evidently wants to see an end to this threat of uncertainty, particularly over key travel periods like Easter and the royal wedding.” More than half (58 percent) supported BA and 22 percent were indifferent.”
