Hotel demand for ITB falls

Hotels in Berlin have posted a 3.6 percent fall in occupancy over the ITB week compared to last year, according to recent data. Figures from market analysts Rubicon suggest that fewer delegates will be heading to Germany for the trade show or not as many will be staying in hotels. Rubicon has not blamed a rise in hotel rates for the fall in occupancy, as prices have increased 1.1 percent from March 2010.
